Returning this year to the Energy Events Centre in Rotorua, the annual Learning@Schools conference will again immerse teachers in 3 days of PD courses, idea exchanging and the latest classroom technology. A Ministry of Education sponsored event, Learning@Schools 09 focuses on ICT within the classroom along with giving teachers a set venue to learn, network, and exchange ideas about their classroom use of technology.
This years Learning@schools conference will be Manzana’s biggest ever. In co-operation with 2Touch we will be showcasing the biggest, brightest and latest technology of the education world. With two stalls directly in front of the entrance to the event centre, Manzana and 2Touch will be hard to miss. Presentations you won’t want to miss:
Presenter: Karen Rolleston
Brief: If you spend hours searching the net for that gem of a website to help you interactively explain everything from addition to the meaning of life then this session is for you. Karen will take you on a journey through her favourite education websites and give you tips and hints on how to make the most of them.
Presenter: Pablo Garcia
Brief: Pablo will be presenting multiple, highly hands-on, presentations all reviewing the next steps to be taken for ICT in education. From collaborative solutions to open-source software, Pablo’s presentations are a look towards the technology that will shape our future classrooms.
